How to distinguish between 304 stainless steel and 201 stainless steel?
1. 304 and 201 stainless steel are used in stainless steel water tanks, and the surface is usually matt. So we recognize it through the naked eye and the touch of the hand. 304 stainless steel has a good luster and is smooth to the touch; the color of 201 stainless steel is dark and dull, and the hand feels rough and not smooth. In addition, wet your hands with water and touch the two stainless steel plates separately. The water-stained fingerprints on the 304 board are easy to erase after being touched, while the water-stained fingerprints on the 201 board are not easy to erase.
2. Install the grinding wheel on the grinder, and lightly grind the two kinds of plates. When grinding, the sparks of the 201 plate are longer, thicker and more, while the sparks of the 304 plate are shorter, thinner and less. When grinding, the force must be light, and the two grinding forces are the same for easy distinction.
3. Apply stainless steel pickling paste on the two types of stainless steel plates. After 2 minutes, observe the color change of the stainless steel on the smear. The color 201 means blackening, and 304 means whitening or not changing color.
